Innovation and transformation secures NHMRC funding

CRE_ICHEAR Chief Investigators have secured highly competitive funding from NHMRC to support two innovative projects to be conducted by Menzies.  Amanda Leach will lead the VOICES project  measuring longer term benefits of different vaccine schedules to gain a better understanding of the impact of ear disease and hearing loss on social, cultural and school readiness trajectory in early childhood. Peter Morris' Rapid Iron Infusion Project will assess whether children suffering from iron deficiency anaemia can avoid being exposed to a painful treatment regimen.
